Hallow kids! I’m back after a few days of not playing DJ! In case it interests you, I was over at Cebu for the weekend and witnessed/celebrated the Sinulog with good friends! (And thus explains the video link above)
For those of you not familiar with the Sinulog tradition held in Cebu, it is a fiesta held to commemorate the Infant Child Jesus, or the Sto. Niño.
Devotees parade while dancing in flambouyant costumes and make up, as a means of thanksgiving and praise to the Sto. Niño. Generally it’s a religious tradition that has been made festive, and it was wonderful to see the amazing talent and creativity of the Filipino people from the south! :) Pit Senyor!

—On my part, I really had fun. And I’m not just talking about the whole festive experience, but the spiritual as well. I think, this point forward, every I will be flying to Cebu every year to celebrate the Sinulog as part of my Catholic devotion.
Cheers!
