Poe, is one of those artists that come once in a lifetime. She reminds me of the fresher days of alternative rock when it was still pure and expanding. Not to say that alternative rock isn’t good these days, because the talent pool is extensive and the ideas are wilder, but… there’s nothing like the old school; the clean, in-your-face kind of alternative music that really spells alternative with a capital A.
I love the poetry in this song. It’s nothing short of interpretation. It’s leading and probably misleading and yet still not confusing. I guess the trick is it’s purpose, it’s stated loud and clear without any ounce of remorse. And I don’t know about you, I like upfront purpose.
Anyhow, listen to the song… and let the possible meanings screw with your head.
