Imogen Heap’s Wait it Out.
Imogen Heap is a genius in precision-pinpointing, and accurately labeling insecurity in relationships. I don’t know how she does it, but she has a way. Listening to her music, understanding the carefully chosen words in lyrics, is a sure fire way to really get you thinking about the stability and security of the romantic relationship that you’re in.
It’s not a bad thing, because she doesn’t harm really. It’s more of she hits the nail. The things you want to make and think pretty, she talks about nonchalantly with perfect honesty albeit euphemistic. In other words, she spits it out with such grace and poise (do you see the irony? it’s meant to be there), and you get struck by the simple truth that you are exactly in the field of imbalance and uncertainty.
This is what I love about her. She has a way of breaking the truth gently, while being exact about it. It’s a gift.
That’s lyrics alone, combine it with her unique, eclectic beats and airy voice… you’ve just bought yourself a musical dose for total paralysis—like submission at your own free will. And it’s addicting as it is.
The talent, the genius, the intelligence, the musicality.
Imogen Heap is one of a kind, indeed.
Well, don’t take my word for it. Discover what I’m saying for yourself!
Thank God for music.
